•The Azores
The Azores is an archipelago in the center of the Atlantic Ocean, about two hours of Lisbon, by airplane. Constituted by nine islands: Corvo, Flores, Faial, Pico, São Jorge, Graciosa, Terceira, São Miguel and Santa Maria.
Azores is synonym for Nature!

•Pico Island
Pico, the second bigger island of the Archipelago of the Azores, is the highest point of Portugal with its mountain of 2351 meters of altitude.
Its composed by three concelhos: They are São Roque, Madalena and Lajes. Any one of these have a long history related with the sea, especially by the whaling.

•São Roque
We are situated in Cais do Pico (Wharf of Pico), center São Roque. Here is the commercial port of the Island. It is a strategical point of navigation in the central group of the Azores.

The Azores is a sanctuary of marine mammals. The limpid waters and the abundant food make the whales remain in redor of Pico all the year.
